Ever since I started watching book-related videos on YouTube, I've been exposed to many more types of books and series. Although I love reading I don't consider myself to have read a lot of books, so I thought it would be better to focus my "top 5" lists on bookish things I hope to achieve this year instead of on things I have achieved. (We'll save the favorites for 2015! :p)

Here are the top 5 trilogies I hope to start this year:

5. Chaos Walking by Patrick Ness
Although I have never read anything by Patrick Ness, I have heard nothing but positive reviews about his books. I bought the first book, The Knife of Never Letting Go, in the UK paperback (which is BEAUTIFUL, by the way!) and will be reading it as soon as I am in the mood to.

4. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
Because the last book, Dreams of Gods and Monsters, was just released, I've been seeing some of my friends on Goodreads marking this trilogy as "currently reading" or "to read". I honestly don't know anything about the storyline, so this is just a random pick :p

3. Legend by Marie Lu
Out of the five trilogies on this list, Legend is probably the most well-known. I am a little embarrassed to have not read this yet, but I will make it happen this year!

2. Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi
I found out about this trilogy through Kassidy Voinche, a book vlogger on YouTube. The covers are so pretty and I always enjoy anything published by HarperCollins.

1. The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken
Dystopian stories are probably my favorite to read, so I know I will enjoy this trilogy. I own the first book, but I haven't gotten around to reading it because I let one of my friends borrow it. I am somewhat on a contemporary kick right now, so hopefully I can get around to reading it in the fall!

It's a book haul! (This could also be interpreted as "a video in which I discuss the physical features of each book and not actually what the books are about.") It was a little painful to edit because I had a lot of outtakes, but I hope you enjoy it for what it is.

Hi guys! I've decided to try something new in order to make my wrap-ups more efficient and content-packed. I don't know if I'll be keeping it around because I wanted to try it out and see if I like it, but let me know what you think! I'll be making some changes this week and next, so expect a little update soon :)



I started a booktube channel! I don't know how often I'll be updating it because I want to focus mainly on this blog, but I do want to be involved and maintain at least one or two videos each month. I love editing much much more than filming and am better at it, so it's been quite the experience trying to avoid stumbling over my words and messing up!

I really enjoyed this book—it was fast-paced, interesting and (surprisingly) not too hard to follow along with. I like how each chapter was laid out, some taking place in the present and some from the past, but I can understand how it can be confusing. Luckily, it made sense with this story and going back into the past helped contribute details to what was going on in the present.

One of my favorite things about this book was the characters. I really liked Fia, the sister who was born with perfect instincts. Even though she was easily affected by the people around her, she was still brave and FUNNY. Even though she could be a bit whiny at times, all her witty remarks and taunts made me wish I could be that easily unfazed.

Having read Shatter Me (by Tahereh Mafi) right before picking this book up, I saw a lot of similarities but wasn't bothered by it. I thought the storyline was well-written and captivating, especially being less than 240 pages, and I will definitely be picking up Perfect Lies (the sequel) to find out what happens!
